Focus Session #2: Strategies to Reduce Oppositionalism and Arguing. The course will provide an overview of the ubiquitous nature of anxiety in PWS and provide specific strategies that help reduce this anxiety and therefore reduce maladaptive, unwanted behaviors. Specifically, this course will focus on strategies to respond to PWS’ low tolerance to frustration and disappointment, oppositional thinking, inflexibility, concrete thinking, and the high need to be perceived as correct.
